To collect it, you can time the sand’s movement or just use your Super Acorn glide jump. Star Coin 3: The final Star Coin is easily visible on your path - it’s in the middle of a sand spout. When you’re on the palm tree, you can enter a pipe, which will take you to a room with plenty of coins (once you press the nearby P Switch) and the Star Coin. You have to get on top of the palm tree next to this sign - to do this, get on the moving Stone-Eye to the left and use your glide jump when the Stone-Eye is at its highest point. Just after the checkpoint, you’ll see an arrow pointing forward. Star Coin 2: You’ll need a Super Acorn for the next Star Coin. It will tip over when you jump on it, though, so be ready to jump up to collect the Star Coin, or use your Super Acorn glide jump. Before the flag you can use a Propeller Block to fly up to the final coin.Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is pretty straightforward - you’ll see it floating above a giant Stone-Eye platform. Climb the beanstalk to the lofty secret area. Just swim between the middle to bricks and you'll hit it. The invisible block is easy to swim up to when the tide is high. Between the middle two blocks is an invisible block with a beanstalk in it. A pool of water with 4 ? Blocks floating in it contains a secret. This incredibly well-hidden coin can be found just after the area with the Propeller Block. You'll have to run down the steps to the right of it to get it, then jump clear before the water raises (and the fish returns). The second coin you come to is also best to grab at low tide. Go for this one when the tide is low and wall jump back out. The first coin of the level is in an area that puts you at direct risk from the leaping fish below. You may want to play it safe and knock out the fish with a fireball before attempting this coin.
